Information

We are first introduced to Kohaku's character during Volume 09 of the manga. This volume also gives us the debut of Sango, a character we
will come to know very well later in the series, and the doomed taiji-ya village. After a brief meeting, however, Kohaku's story appears to be over
quickly, as he and the rest of the taiji-ya are killed in a malicious plot of Naraku's doing (Sango is the sole exception to this, despite horrible injuries).
Kohaku appears for a mere 2 chapters before 'resting in peace' at the tender age of 11.
So this is the end? Not quite. Volume 11 brings about Kohaku's character once more. He is living but a shell of a life
in which he can't remember his past. Naraku has given Kohaku a Shikon jewel shard, and it is this that keeps him alive. But in return,
Kohaku must follow Naraku's orders, a pawn to be played in the cruel game that Naraku has begun. As for Sango, she is torn between the
love shared by siblings, and hatred and anger for the things he will do under Naraku. The Shikon no Tama, broken into many fragments earlier in
the series, must be completed, either by Naraku or InuYasha. Kohaku's shard will play a crucial role in the series' finale, but will he live ... or die?
