Introduction Welcome to Shattered Glass, a shrine and fanlisting to the relationship between a certain hanyou named Inuyasha and a miko named Kikyou from Takahashi Rumiko's popular manga/anime, Inuyasha. The shrine part of this site contains many unmarked spoilers, so if you're not very far in the manga and don't want to be spoiled, it would probably be better to exit now or simply go to the fanlisting. This site is best viewed in a screen resolution of 1024x768 pixels and in Mozilla Firefox, however, it should appear correctly in other resolutions and browsers. Please enjoy your visit here! If you have any questions or concerns, feel forward to drop me a line. YAmber

I can't believe I let the site sit for over a year. x_x I'm an idioooooot. Out of all my websites, this one and Rice Boy are my babies. I don't know why I ever let either one of them sit.You know who I have to thank? Yamila. I can't thank her enough. I fell into a period where I didn't update my sites simply because I thought that everyone had forgotten me anyway. Yamila was kind enough to make a fanlisting to me and bring me to tears over it. I don't know if I cried because I was so thankful to have such a great friend, or if I cried because I was guilty. I've hardly talked to anyone other than my Dogster and Catster friends in a year to a year and a half, yet I'd had a fanlisting made for me. That really made me realize that I'd abandoned all of my sites for longer than I'd thought. ^^; So, here we are with a new layout. I really love this one. I know I say that for all of my layouts, but I'm particurally attached to this one. XD I spent a long time getting it to look perfect. I was a bit stuck for ideas, since Inuyasha and Kikyou obviously haven't had any "moments" since chapter 465. I decided to use pictures from chapter 473, "Tears of Blood," since the scene with Inuyasha seeing an illusion of Kikyou is so sad. ;_; I updated a lot of pages. There's no point in listing them here, since I'd probably be listing almost every page on the site. I did add a new page: The Parting. I think the only thing that's keeping me reading the series is my love for Kohaku-chan. I somehow get the feeling that he's not going to live much longer, especially after being possessed by Magatsuhi in the last chapter. I'm pretty confident that SOMEONE is going to die in the next ten chapters. I'm putting my money on Miroku (;_;) or Kohaku (double ;_;). Somehow, since Kikyou's death, I've grown to like Kagome more. o.O ...Maybe it's because she's been useful lately. I'm really interested in seeing where the whole thing about her sealed powers is going to go. The fanlisting reached 250 members in June! :D YAY! I can't wait until it gets to 500, which I'm sure it will, right? *hint hint wink wink* According to my domain's counter, SG now has over 750,000 hits! ^^ Double yay! My old counter broke, so I had to put a new one up. I'm going off of what the counter on my cPanel says for how many hits this subdomain has received. I added on the hits I know I had from when this site was on Neko-Simba.NET, also. Remember that Babelfish Translator I had on the page? >_> It decided to become possessed and plague people with pop-ups. I deleted it and haven't seen a pop-ups since, nor has anyone I've pestered to randomly click around the site, but if you do see any, please tell me. I'm pretty confident that Babelfish was the problem, but if it wasn't, I really want to know. XD I wonder if anyone still visits this site... XD | ![]() August 11, 2006:New layout. Despite how cluttered and chaotic it is, I like it. It was meant to be chaotic anyway. *sigh* I need to make a non-blend layout again someday. This layout is formatted basically the same way the last one was. I find that it's the easiest way to format a layout that's so big...for me anyway. I like this format, too, of course. ^_^I still haven't gotten around to adding that section dedicated to the last chapter. I swear that I'll get to it sometime soon. I've been having a really busy summer. What's sad is that I think I'll have MORE time when I'm in school. o_O Of course, I've noticed a trend in schooling, and that's that the even numbered years seem to be easier than the odd numbered years (...strange...). I'll be in tenth grade next year (YES! I'M NOT A FRESHIE ANYMORE!!). Anywhoot, school's starting for me on Tuesday. I'm taking it online though, so I might be able to sneek updates to my sites when lectures get really boring... XD Joking. I do plan to pay attention, thank you very much. Of course, I do have a particular hatred towards the subject, English... *cough* Anyway, let's leave my life alone, now why don't we? I'm going to add a new page dedicated to my self-colored manga images in a couple of minutes. Yes, I'm bored. I was actually thinking of using one of the pictures on this layout, but then I decided I wanted an all-red layout. THANKS SO MUCH FOR OVER 20,000 HITS, EVERYONE!! EDIT: Go visit the new Self-Colored Manga gallery! Read the note at the top of the page, please. If I catch anyone using those images without my permission...let's just say you're going to have an angry webmistress at your heals, sporking you, giving you a bad reputation, and doing any other evil thing that comes to my mind at that moment. *waves spork around* | ![]() July 12, 2006:In all honesty, this isn't really an update, more of a blab session. HOWEVER, there is ONE thing that is related to the site!THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 200 MEMBERS! NOT LONG UNTIL 250 SO WE CAN GET AN AWARD, RIGHT? Anyhow, this is mostly meant to point you to the newest chapter of Inuyasha, which is located at Ear-Tweak. I warn you, you'll need tissues. The chapter made me cry just as much (if not more) than Kagura's death did. Warning: The below segment of text is filled with spoilers. Read chapter 465 before you read this. Once you're ready to read it, highlight all the text below. There's a part of me that's really shocked after reading this chapter, yet there's also another part of me that's not shocked at all. I kind of saw Kikyou's death coming, but I guess I was hoping that she'd get some sort of happy ending. I didn't really think she'd "get back together with Inuyasha," just that she wouldn't go poof like that. This is one of those many moments when I want to rip all of Naraku's hair out. Of course, then I remember how amazingly smexy he is, and I have difficulty. Then I'm reminded of how much better looking Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru, and Miroku are, and I do rip Naraku's hair out. *whips out pitch-fork* HOW DARE YOU GO KILL KIKYOU LIKE THAT! GYAAAAAAAAAAH! NOW YOU MADE EVERYONE ALL SAD! YOU MADE KOHAKU-CHAN LOOK EVEN MORE TRAGIC THAN USUAL! I SPORK THEE!!! *ahem* Anyway, I will have to say that her last scene was very touching. It was the first time Kikyou really smiled. Not only that, but Inuyasha-chan cried. On top of that, Kagome didn't even freak out (which, I might add again, I don't blame her for getting pissed when Inuyasha runs off with Kikyou...I'd do the same if I was in her position). Let's all hope that somehow, in some way, Kikyou and Kagura (my two favorite female characters!) come back to life. Somehow. Maybe Sesshoumaru will whip out Tenseiga. Maybe Inuyasha will use the Shikon no Tama to revive them. MAYBE NAKI WILL TURN GOOD AND BRING THEM BACK HIMSELF!!!!!! Now that I'm done with that... XD The chapter inspired me. I know exactly how I want the next layout to look. I'll probably have it up sometime in the near, near, near future. Until then, ta ta! EDIT: Durh. I should probably make a new information page for this development. That'll be up sometime later tonight or tomorrow. | ![]() June 16, 2006:I added some more sprites. I made one of Kikyou with her hair back, human Inuyasha, and a Kagome sprite (I'll get to Sango, Miroku, Shippou, Kagura, Naraku, etc. someday... x_x). I'm not really all the pleased with the Kagome one. Her skirts came out too...sharp. >_<I noticed the other day that when you search "Inuyasha x Kikyou" in Google, Shattered Glass is the first site to come up. ^_^ I'm so proud! I also added a fanart page. The current fanart that's up was made for me by Jenshin at A-Kon. Take a look at it (it's so pretty! *_*) and make sure to check out her other art, too. ONE MORE MEMBER UNTIL WE HAVE 200 MEMBERS! WOOT! JOIN UP IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY, EVERONE! | ![]() June 03, 2006:Despite what some may think, I actually have been making small updates here and there for the last month. XD Honestly! I really have! I just haven't posted about them!First off, the fanlisting has some shiny new codes. Let's see if I can make as many codes for this fanlisting as I have for the Son Gohan fanlisting. I've owned that fanlisting for over two years now and have created over 300 codes for it (320, if you want to get exact). I have no life. XD Second, I've updated the avatars section. Go check them out! I've also changed the guestbook scripts. After a while, that spam protection I put on it started...not working. I woke up to 300 spam entries yesterday morning. Might I add, I had deleted at least fifty the night before. I LOVE Simpbook, and if Codegrrl upgrades it so it has better protection against spam, I'll probably go back and download it again. For now, I've changed the script to Bella Book. It has smilies! YES! I manually re-entered all the entries I felt should be re-entered. I left out things such as spam that I didn't catch before, chain letters, posts not related to SG, my own comments (minus a few), and little things like, "did you put my button up yet." I DID however re-enter all the flames. They give me the warm and fuzzies. After deleting all the said entries, I was left with only fourty-one entries. Thirty entries of jibberish? Wow. I'm starting to bore of this layout. So...I've got a question for my "loyal" (haha) visitors. Should the next layout feature anime InuxKik, manga InuxKik, doujinshi InuxKik, or a mixture of them? Anyone got any ideas on color schemes? If you let me decided, it'll probably end up being purple. XD What's even more funny is that purple isn't even my favorite color (GREEN is, because it's the color of PICCOLO from DRAGONBALL! HIS GREEN-NESSISM!!! **yes, that was a random moment**). I do love green, but my attempts with it rarely turn out nice (look at my fanlisting collective...perfect example). I'm going to A-Kon in Dallas next week. ^.^ I'll have to see if I can find any Inuyasha x Kikyou-ish merchandise (DOUJINSHI!!!). I was dissapointed last year. They had all the plushies from the Inuyasha series except Kikyou. They did have a super-expensive Kikyou cosplay outfit though. *sweat drops* Maybe I should just blow my money out on that. I can't sew anyway. That's why I don't cosplay. I can't make a costume. XD Today's the anniversary of my grandma's death. It feels like it's been more than a year. I thought I'd feel some kind of comfort knowing I wouldn't have to go through the "firsts" anymore, but I don't really feel much of anything. Doesn't seem any easier to me. Random: Kikyou Stills, the original Kikyou stillness icontest, has reopened. Go enter icons! It's in desperate need of participation! | ![]() April 28, 2006:^_^;; FINALLY we have an update! Obviously, there's a new layout. I really did adore the last layout, but I was honestly getting sick of it. Iframes are nice and all, but I easily get frustrated with them when I'm using them on shrines. x_x Don't ask why, because I have no idea myself.Yet another purple tables layout? When I made this layout, it didn't occur to me that I had used a LIGHT purple tables layout only two layouts prior to this one. Hehe. Oops. Oh well. Purple kind of fits Inuyasha and Kikyou. Realization also hits that this layout is rather large. I've sliced it for easier loading and have compressed it as much as I can without the layout looking like crap. I really needed to make a blending layout though...and they're usually rather big (for me anyway). Has anyone else been keeping up with the manga? Inuyasha and Kikyou are getting quite a fwe moments together lately. *_* Yay! It's really neat seeing Takahashi redo a few of the scenes from the first few chapters in her new style, too (there's several flashbacks to when Inuyasha was sealed to Goshinboku). You must ALL read it! I DEMAND that you read it! Go to Ear Tweak to read the last eight chapters. ^_^ I've added some awards that SG has received. I've also received some requests for awards. NEVER FEAR! I will get to them as soon as I can. I have a lot of mail from Rice Boy that's piling up in my inbox, so I want to deal with that first. I haven't forgotten you guys! We have several new affiliates: Make sure to visit them both! | ![]() March 20, 2006:I have added a spam filter to the guestbook. I realize it's extremely annoying to have to enter a code every time you sign the guestbook, but you have to understand how I'm feeling. I come home from school, get on the computer, go to see the guestbook, and nearly faint when HALF OF THE GUESTBOOK is filled with spam after only twenty-four hours. At first, I was getting about ten entries a day. That wasn't a problem. I could delete those easily. Then it went to twenty... A bit more painful, but I could deal with it. Suddenly, the number of spam per day flew up to seventy entries. >_< MY POOR EYES!! I've been looking for a spam filter for a while (I could have changed guestbooks...but I love Simpbook too much...and it's got even my earliest entries on it), and I finally found one, so I'm overjoyed. *fans self* No more deleting seventy entries of spam every day!!!~ YES!!!!~^_^ Yesterday was the anniversary of the first day I started working on Shattered Glass. Tomorrow's the first anniversary of SG's grand opening! *throws confetti around* Happy first birthday, SG! | ![]() March 12, 2006:I added some screencaps to the anime gallery. Most of them are from the fourth movie. ^_^;;| ![]() February 27, 2006:*is exausted and doesn't feel like writing a lot* I've updated the gallery with new thumbnails, and have added some new images to the anime gallery (I finally got off my lazy butt and took some screen caps!) and the doujinshi gallery. Go check them out. Also, I've customized the buttons that I'm linking to affiliates with. If you're an affiliate, feel free to use the button I've made for you...well...as long as you credit me, of course. Very small update, but I've changed my age on the webmistress page, since I'm now fifteen. *drips with sarcasm* Yay for me. There's several new affiliates, too! Go check out Heart of the Soul, Hidden Hearts, Inuyasha Paradise, Owari nai Ai (you've been an affiliate for a while, but I don't think I ever plugged you *scratches head*), and Remorseful. If you don't visit every one of them, I'll sick...Inuyasha on you. *nods* Shattered Glass will be a year old next month (March 21)! It seems like it's been way longer than that...but then again, 2005 went by very slow for me. EDIT: I've now added some new scans from the domestic Inuyasha artbook and the first chapter of Inuyasha to the manga gallery. | ![]() February 12, 2006:New layout. I hope you like it. It's been forever since I've done a pink layout. I believe the last one was a pink, div, Sango layout for Neko-Simba.NET TWO years ago. o_o;;| ![]() February 9, 2006:No new layout. x_x;; Sorry. I was going to make it last night, but then I was struck with inspiration to make an AMV. XD I'll have the new layout up within the next couple of days.I added a new Media section, Music Videos. I put my one Inuyasha x Kikyou AMV up there (which I just finished today), but I'm always up for more, so if anyone else has any Inuyasha x Kikyou related AMVs and would like them posted, just email me with the particulars stated on that page. ^_^;; On another note, my 15th birthday is on the 19th, for all who care (haha). | ![]() January 15, 2006:Not much of an update, but thanks for 150 members on the fanlisting! I'd also like to thank everyone that's joined all of my Inuyasha-related fanlistings, as the members count from all of them put together recently hit 650.I'm mostly posting here to announce that I'm going to be removing affiliates that are either dead links or haven't updated in eternity on the 18th. If you've been updating and stuff, you have no reason to worry. The only site update really is that I removed the link to my fanlisting (as in the fanlisting FOR me) from the About the Webmistress page because it closed. ;_; The owner put it up for adoption and the person who said she'd take it never created it, so Melissa-chan had to close it. *no longer feels special* XD A new layout should be up with the next update. Five Facts:
| ![]() January 3, 2006:Shattered Glass has been moved to Shnidamachuu.NET and has been converted to Enthusiast. The new URL is:http://glass.shinidamachuu.net/ and http://shinidamachuu.net/glass/ Please change your links, everyone! Thanks! | ![]() January 2, 2006:Neko-Simba.NET has successfully moved to my reseller, Cruel-Summer.ORG, so ALL scripts on the site should now be functioning correctly (the guestbook, tagboard, PHP Affili8, PHPFanbase should be picture perfect, etc.). I did lose two or three members who joined the fanlisting after December 21, 2005, so if those few people would like to rejoin... *sweatdrops* I don't have email notifications for members turned on, so I don't have the member's information anymore. I'm really sorry!Shattered Glass will also be completely moved to my new domain, Shinidamachuu.NET (named after Kikyou's soul collectors, for those who didn't catch on), either tomorrow or Wednesday. For those who are interested, I've put up two of my Inuyasha-related fanlistings (Kikyou vs. Naraku and *dum dum dum* Inuyasha & Kikyou doujinshi), as well as eight of my other fanlistings, up for adoption. You can find more information here. I've decided that even if you don't use scripts, if I KNOW you're reliable on updating, I'll let you have the fanlisting. This is mostly because the fanlistings aren't that big. New Shrine Affiliates: New Fanlisting Affiliates: Five Facts About Me:
THANKS SO MUCH FOR 10,000 HITS, GUYS! YOU'RE ALL SO AWESOME! | ![]() December 11, 2005:Updated the avatars section. :P The fanlisting has also been updated with several new members. I've added some topsites, too. Make sure to vote for me! XD I know you want to!Some people may notice that the tagboard nor the guestbook are working. Why? Because my idiotic host (E-Starr) has decided to set the register globals off on all their hostees. Now, you see, it has been proven that PHP Fanbase has a security flaw (that I somewhat fixed...well...at least to the point where it works without the register globals on), but Simpbook and Tagger both have nothing wrong with them...but they work with the globals on. -_-;; Mentioning the fanlisting, the fanlisting WILL stay with PHP Fanbase. I've converted nearly all my other fanlistings (all 42 of 'em) to Enthusiast, but there's really no point in converting this one. Enthusiast is meant for domains with a lot of fanlistings on them. This is the only fanlisting I (though I have a bunch of hostees with fanlistings) own on this domain. As long as Fanbase is safe, it's staying. Anyhow, I'm sure E-Starr will remove the whole thing with the register globals as soon as CodeGRRL comes up with a safer version of Fanbase. I'm too lazy to install a new tagboard and guestbook. XD I don't want to lose my entries anyway. ^_~ I'm getting a step closer to buying myself a domain for my Inuyasha-related sites. *not that I really need a fourth domain XD* New Affiliates: x x x x x x x Five Facts About Me:
